This piece is about the ground after rain — darker, heavier, and full of movement. Paint was layered freely, with marks added instinctively as colours met and shifted.
There was no plan, just noticing how the paint moved and where it wanted to sit. Greens, muddy tones, and dark marks settle into one another, like earth still holding water.
Wet Ground reflects a child’s way of working — intuitive, curious, and unfiltered — capturing the feeling of nature as it is, not how it’s meant to look.
Acrylic, ink, and oil stick on canvas
33 × 23 cm
Framed in solid oak
